WHY DO I NEED THESE SPECIFIC PLUGINS?

You don’t! But! This is a short list of popular WordPress plugins that you can install for free (Freemium) and achieve some result, wether in optimizing, analyzing or social media. Whatever your project or website you plan to build or already have. You don’t need all of these plugins as some perform similar or same functions, so it’s better not to mix 2 plugins to do the same task.

1. Yoast SEO

   Yoast is the most popular SEO plugin, and immediately after installing it you’ll see why. It’s pretty intuitive and simple to use and gives you the ability to review the SEO marks for each page or blog post. Yoast also gives a readability and SEO optimization score.

3. Jetpack

   Jetpack is one of the oldest plugins, an all-in-one solution for analytics, security, SEO and improving the basic funtions of WordPress. If using more than one plugin for all these tasks is something you’d like to avoid, Jetpack can be a good option.

   Jetpack comes as a free plugin, and there are many cheaper and more expensive upgrades based on functionalities.

4. Akismet Spam Protection

   Akismet is one of the more hardworking and dilligent plugins. Websites are often the target of spammers that place comments on your blog posts that linkback to the spammers URL. Akismet captures these comments, automatically filters them and deletes the ones that correspond to the set rules.

5. Sendinblue

   Sendinblue is one of the famous e-mail newsletter software providers. They have a WordPress plugin theat you can install and by using a drag&drop editor create e-mail forms and export them as shortcodes. There are a plethora of e-mail providers and their corresponding plugins and integrations.

   Sendinblue plugin is free and the e-mail service itself is not.

6. W3 Total Cache

   W3 Total Cache is surely one of the most used performance plugins for WordPress. Caching is a way of saving time and resources needed to display data again, in this case your website. W3 tries to optimize the images, files and caches your website.

   W3 is free and there’s a Pro version.

7. Contact Form 7

   Contact Form 7 is the most famous free contact form plugin for WordPress. Since contact forms are usually the place where spammers try to attack if they can’t comment, this plugin has intergrated reCAPTCHA and Akismet functionalities. It also has amazing japanese artworks and logo.
