I'm based in Split, but a meaningful portion of the architectural and case-study work happens in Ljubljana — and Slovenia generally. The city has a specific contemporary architectural inventory — converted industrial heritage like Cukrarna, sacred work by Bevk Perović, public infrastructure at Jože Pučnik Airport — that rewards a documentation approach rather than a real-estate approach. Slovenian engagements run from single-day brand and event shoots up to multi-day case studies. Travel and accommodation are added to the project quote rather than padded into a day rate; the trip cost stays transparent.

How I Approach It

Ljubljana shoots are planned a step tighter than Split shoots because the travel calendar matters — but tighter planning isn't the same as a higher bar to engage. Each project starts with the building, installation, or event in question, a confirmed list of access windows, and a clear scope of deliverables. AV integration case studies (Bose Professional, LorexSI) are scoped per installation and delivered alongside the architect's or integrator's narrative. Brand and event work follow the same patterns as Split engagements with travel days added to the schedule.

What You Get

  • — Scoped multi-day engagement planned around access windows and specific deliverables
  • — Architectural coverage that documents design intent, not just appearance
  • — AV-integration documentation when the project involves a Bose / LorexSI / similar installation
  • — Organised delivery — selects, master files, web/print exports labelled by use case
  • — Bilingual EN/HR / SL captions available when needed

Credentials & Experience

  • Cukrarna Gallery Ljubljana — full architectural documentation of the 19th-century sugar factory transformed into a contemporary art gallery
  • Islamic Cultural Center Ljubljana — study of light, geometry, and sacred space (designed by Bevk Perović arhitekti)
  • Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport — LorexSI × Bose Professional AV integration case study, terminal panorama and installation detail
  • Bose Professional distributor meeting Ljubljana — corporate B2B event coverage with DJ Matthew Bee
  • Repeat photographer for the Bossanova × Bose partnership covering Slovenian as well as Croatian installations
  • Bilingual EN/HR delivery available when projects cross both Slovenian and broader regional markets

Best Fit

  • — Architectural firms in Slovenia documenting completed projects
  • — AV integrators (LorexSI, Bossanova × Bose, etc.) producing installation case studies
  • — Cultural institutions documenting heritage buildings or sacred space
  • — Hospitality groups operating Slovenian properties needing brand-ready visuals
  • — Croatian brands with Slovenian-facing campaigns that need a single photographer across both markets

Common Questions

Are you based in Ljubljana?

The base is Split, Croatia — but Slovenian work is welcomed with travel and accommodation covered as part of the project. Single-day shoots, multi-day case studies, and recurring brand work all fit; the planning just adds travel days to the schedule.

How do travel expenses work?

Travel and accommodation are added to the project quote as line items rather than padded into a day rate. You see the trip cost transparently before booking. For multi-installation case studies or campaign shoots covering several sites in one trip, the per-site cost drops significantly.

Do you only do architectural work in Slovenia?

Architectural and AV-integration have been the most common engagements so far. Event, brand, and product work is equally available — the same delivery patterns from Split apply, just with travel days added.

Can you cover work across both Slovenia and Croatia in one engagement?

Yes, and it's one of the strongest reasons to engage. Brands operating across both markets get one photographer, one delivery shape, consistent file naming, and EN/HR/SL captions where relevant — instead of stitching together two production teams.

Do you travel beyond Slovenia and Croatia?

Yes. EU and international engagements are welcomed with travel expenses covered. Past work has run across Slovenia and Croatia; further travel for the right project is open by inquiry.
